ANTIGUA GUATEMALA
Begin in one of the country's most atmospheric cities.
Arrival at Guatemala City airport, followed by private transfer to Antigua. Check in at Boutique Hotel Genesis and settle into the colonial rhythm of the city.
ANTIGUA
See the city from above, then walk it from within.
Start at Cerro de la Cruz for a panoramic view of Antigua and the surrounding volcanoes. Continue with a three- to four-hour private walking tour through the historic center.
THE HIGH POINT
Climb into the volcanic highlands.
08:00 departure to La Soledad. Gear support and warm layers are provided before the ascent. Approx. six hours of trekking lead to the wooden mountain camp, followed by dinner, an overnight stay and the optional nighttime approach toward Volcán de Fuego.
FROM SUMMIT TO LAKE
Descend from the mountains and change the landscape completely.
Breakfast at camp, then begin the descent. Around midday, return to Antigua for time to eat before continuing by private vehicle to Panajachel and Lake Atitlán.
LAKE ATITLÁN
San Juan. San Pedro. Santiago Atitlán.
08:30 private boat departure. Explore three lakeside communities and their local workshops. Meals, drinks and gratuities are not included.
THE SECOND SUMMIT
A final ascent above the lake.
04:30 departure toward the base of Volcán San Pedro. Climb through forest to the 3,020-meter summit, descend around midday and continue by private vehicle to Guatemala City.
FAREWELL
Leave with the mountains still in you.
Private airport transfer scheduled approximately three hours before departure for a smooth return home.

Is Acatenango suitable for anyone?
The route is physically demanding, with steep climbs, high altitude and variable conditions. A good level of fitness and preparation are important.
Is the Volcán de Fuego approach included?
It is available as an optional nighttime add-on at $30 per person, subject to operating conditions and local guidance.
Which hotels are planned?
The operating plan lists Boutique Hotel Genesis in Antigua, Hotel 2 Mundos or similar in Panajachel, Hotel Uxlabil in San Juan La Laguna and Best Western Stofella in Guatemala City. Final properties remain subject to availability.
Are meals included?
Acatenango camp includes lunch, dinner and breakfast. The Lake Atitlán village day excludes meals, drinks and gratuities.
